Jenean has been involved in many aspects of real estate since 1985. From commercial tenant-improvement supervisor to new home sales evaluator to licensed resale residential agent, Jenean has continued to have passion for real estate. As a serious personal investor, Jenean practices what she preaches by purchasing and managing rental properties each year. Jenean and her husband, Gary made it a goal to purchase a second (retirement) home while still in their 40’s. They began by purchasing affordable rental units each year. After three to four years, they used the homes’ equity to do a tax-deferred 1031 exchange into a larger home that they are renting out for the time being. After a few years they can ‘inherit’ this dream home as a second home without paying capital gains taxes.
