The 2015 REAL Trends Real Estate Website Rankings were analyzed between April and July 2015. Judging began with nearly 750 real estate websites which were narrowed down by five technology experts to the top 25. From there a panel of real estate chief officers from across the country voted on the best sites based on eight different categories. We couldn't be more pleased to see our hard work and innovation paid off! 

First Team’s Weekly Mortgage Watch (August 30th, 2015) this week highlights the following updates:

  • Last week began with another day of carnage in stock markets. As the “correction” spread to multiple indices, mortgage rates found some room to move downward, but not as much as one may have expected based on the headlines.
  • While experts debate the impact of China and other factors on stock markets, our domestic growth for last quarter was revised to a relatively warm 3.7%.
  • Bond and mortgage markets seem mostly convinced that we will stay on a slow, bumpy growth path for the foreseeable future.
  • As the week ended, comments from couple of Fed governors brought the upcoming Fed meeting back into focus. Many analysts are continuing to predict

One of the largest fairs in the United States boasts an array of entertainment options and exhibits, including carnival rides and games, arts and crafts, products for sale, farm animals, diet-busting foods (Deep-fried Twinkies! Bacon-wrapped turkey legs!), and a wine, beer and spirits marketplace. The End of Summer Concert Series draws top acts from today and yesterday.

It's the last weekend in August and the best way to prepare for the fall real estate market is by visiting open house this weekend in Orange County. The heat of the summer market is cooling but inventory is still up and ripe for the picking.

  • US stock markets took a significant pounding last week, with the Dow Index officially moving into a correction. As pundits and analysts debate the reasons and potential impact of the selloff, mortgage rates moved only slightly downward, once again.
  • While China and Europe’s woes are the most probable reason for the rout, US economic news continues on its seemly never-ending, slow-growth trajectory.
  • While the LEI contracted slightly, Existing Home Sales powered upward. The minutes from the last Fed meeting didn’t reveal too much, although some of the comments point to concerns about increasing interest rates at the September meeting.
  • The Fed
