Here at First Team we have had an amazing year in our luxury division taking the top sales unit lead for luxury homes in the market priced above $1 million.

As measured over the last 12 months in numbers of transactions, First Team Estates Christie’s International completed 3.2% more transactions than its nearest competitor, and more than 25.7% over the third largest broker.

Let's take a look back on just a few of our most impressive sales; the palatial pads and ritzy real estate that remind us why we love Southern California.

First Team’s Weekly Mortgage Watch (December 27th, 2015) this week highlights the following updates:

  • Mortgage rates remained mostly calm, moving through the holiday week with little volatility. Lighter trading volumes, limited economic data, and no major news events helped keep rates in check.
  • We did get some insight into the housing market, which appears to show some signs of slipping slightly. However, a one-month drop in Existing Home Sales may be an outlier, and some experts are predicting a bump back upward next month.
  • GDP was adjusted downward by 0.1%, landing at 2.0% for the third quarter of the year, with household spending continuing to drive most of the growth.

The New Year presents a slew of new decisions, and one of those might be what to do now that your home sale has gone cold. If you tried to sell your home in 2015 and you hit a wall, don't worry. Let’s lay out the options and regroup.

Here's what you can do when your home sale goes south like a sitting duck on the market.

Go Off The Market

If your home didn’t sell in 2015, it’s easy to feel the impulse to take your home off the market. You’re upset and you want a break from the whole process. That’s perfectly understandable.

But don’t get discouraged and let those negative thoughts eat away at your dreams. If the reason you listed a few months ago still makes sense, then chances are you should give it another go.

Don’t rationalize your

46% of buyers are more willing to walk through a home they viewed online if it’s staged according to the National Association of Realtors. You can have the best house in the city, but if it’s cluttered and uninviting, it’s going to be very difficult for interested buyers to look through the mess and see its potential.

1. Take a look at the neighborhood.

If a neighboring yard isn’t quite up to standards, making your home exterior look unkept, consider a diplomatic offer to help clean it up. You can’t force your neighbors to clear

First Team’s Weekly Mortgage Watch (December 20th, 2015) this week highlights the following updates:

  • The most talked-about, overanalyzed, non-event of the year is now behind us. The Federal Reserve’s “liftoff” has begun, and it went down almost exactly as expected.
  • Financial markets mostly shrugged and continued on with business as usual, with major banks notching up their prime rate by a quarter of point.
  • Mortgage rates remained mostly steady across the spectrum.
  • While the debate continues to rage, the real importance of this meeting was that the Fed made its first baby step toward “normalization” of monetary policy. While it kept in place its program of recycling profits from its massive portfolio, this
