  • Economic data continued to be modest or slightly better.
  • Housing is definitely improving. New Home Sales spiked 12.4% to 654K, which is the highest level since November 2007. Existing Home Sales crept down slightly, but it was likely due to

School is back in session and it's time to take a look at what that means for homebuyers. Hint, a lot.

According to a recent study from realtor.com, homes in higher-rated public school districts are, on average, 49% more expensive than the national median, and 77% more expensive than schools located in lower-ranked districts in their own area. • The lazy days of summer continue to grip the market, even as parents and students frantically prepare for the first days of the new school year.
  • Mortgage rates seem content to remain in a tight range, as we wait for something to shake things up.
  • Last week’s release of the latest minutes of the Federal Reserve’s meeting shed little insight as to the Fed’s thinking on the economy.
