Boomtown’s Anniversary Celebration
Saturday, February 3rd
12PM – 2AM
Boomtown Brewery celebrates its three-year anniversary on Saturday, February 3rd. To ring it in properly, they are releasing a special anniversary beer – a Belgian White Imperial brewed with rose petals and raspberries. Other non-hop soaked treats at the event include a photo booth, various DJs and food vendors, round the clock social media giveaways, special limited release t-shirts and burlesque after 10:30pm.
Los Angeles A Cappella Festival
Friday, February 9th – Sunday, February 11th
The LAAF is a non-profit music festival produced by The Contemporary A Cappella Society that gathers people from all over the world to celebrate, appreciate and advance vocal music as an art form. Think, real life Pitch Perfect. Held in Calabasas, the weekend long festival will feature top high school and collegiate groups going head-to-head in a 3-round performance format. LAAF is the perfect family event and an incredible weekend of live a cappella music.
San Gabriel Lunar New Year Festival
Saturday, February 10th
Celebrate the Year of the Dog at the San Gabriel Lunar New Year Festival. The all day celebration will feature tons of performers on the festival stage, a street food fair, crafts village, food trucks, merchandise, Kinjaz Dojo dance tournament and more. Admission is free and the event will be held in the San Gabriel Mission District.
Annual La Bachata Festival
Thursday, February 15th – Monday, February 19th
The La Bachata Festival includes nightly themed parties and performances, beginner boot camps so you can learn the moves, dancing till 5AM, and over 80 workshops, dozens of performances. Check out the site for all the different types of passes and tickets available for the event. Sunday’s themed party will be Mardi Gras Masquerade!
Broken Hearts Circus at Angel City Brewery
Saturday, February 11th
Your favorite Downtown LA Brewery will be hosting a festival for the broken hearted! The day of fun will feature music and performances all day from clown comedians to acrobats and dancers. There will also be a roaming magician, stilt walker, a photo booth, food truck, circus snacks and face painting.
Macy’s Celebrates Black History Month
Thursday, February 15th
Macy’s will be celebrating Black History Month with LA City Council President Herb Wesson and more. Emile Ennis Jr. will host an in-depth conversation with a host of special guests to discuss how Black History has influenced their careers. Award-winning Singer-Songwriter Malynda Hale will kick things off with a musical performance, and you can get acquainted with local black-owned businesses, and set your vision for 2018! The first 75 people will receive a $10 Macy’s gift card and a chance to win tickets to “The Color Purple” at the Hollywood Pantages.
Chocolate & Art Show

Indulge yourself in some of LA’s finest up-and-coming artists, photographers and creators. There is something for everybody including live body painting, live music, face painting, and free chocolate – what’s not to love? The event will be held at The Vortex in LA and raise awareness and support for Artist for Trauma a charity that nurtures and empowers the lives of both civilian and military trauma survivors by pairing recovering patients with established artists from various creative disciplines.
Long Beach Comic Expo

Long Beach Comic Expo is a celebration of comic books and pop culture that showcases the exceptional works of talented writers, artists, illustrators and creators of all types of pop culture. Scotsfestival & International Highland Games
Saturday, February 17th – Sunday, February 18th
Live out your Braveheart fantasies at the Scotsfestival & International Hightland Games held at the Queen Mary. Enjoy professional and amateur competitions in piping, drumming, massed bands, darts, Highland dancing, and Highland athletics. If you’re not interested in the athletics, there’s also whisky tasting sessions, craft beer samplings, the Queen Mary’s coronation, knighting ceremonies and Wee Highland games for the kids.

Long Beach Mardi Gras Parade & Festival

Carnevale returns with fun for all ages, music performances, shows, Venetian mystery masquerade photography and of course dress up, all with no charge. Produced by Shoreline Village, Long Beach Mardi Gras is a signature annual event that transforms the Village and brings out over 15,000 participants. Dancers, stilt walkers, mimes, clowns, musicians – all are welcome!
LA Chinatown Firecracker Run

Sat: 20/40 mile bike ride, Sun: 5K, 10K & Kiddie Run
Celebrate Lunar New Year with the biggest themed charity run in the nation, taking place in historic LA Chinatown. Saturday will be the bike ride and Sunday will be the run/walk. The Firecracker Bike Ride will offer cyclists the choice of a 20 mile or a 30+ mile route. Sunday will include a 5K run/walk, 10K run/walk and a short Kiddie Run. There will also be a Doggy Paw’er Walk on Saturday – everyone’s getting involved this year!
