The San Clemente Fiesta Music Festival

Rancho Mission Viejo Rodeo

Yes, there is a rodeo in Orange County. Proclaimed as the richest 2-day rodeo in the nation, this year’s Rodeo features saddle bronc, bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, tie down roping and bull riding. You won’t want to miss this year’s excitement! Tickets are $30 for adults, $10 for kids, plus there is a $10 parking fee, which is cash only.

Every Labor Day weekend in Orange County, the International Street Fair is the place to be. Filling Old Towne Orange with food booths from around the world, the street fair is all about the delicious eats. Each street leading out of the Old Towne Plaza features a selection of international food and drinks, including German, Irish, English, Polynesian, American, Greek, Japanese, Swiss, Italian, Lebanese, Australian and Mexican areas. Enjoy live music all weekend long plus the Children’s street, arts and crafts, community booths, beer booths and more.

We’re getting together with our charity partners Team Kids to put on a night of good laughs and good company! Team Kids is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower children to change the world. We share a commitment to making our communities better which is why it’s a perfect collaboration. Held at the Brea Improv, the night will include prizes, raffles, and 5 different comedians. Imperial Beach Surf Dog Competition

Billed as the most adorable surf event of the year, the Imperial Beach Surf Dog Competition shows off pups that have skills. More than 60 dogs are expected to participate and funds raise will go toward the San Diego Humane Society. Don’t forget to drop by the Pier for more fun and excitement for the day.

Annual World Bodysurfing Championships in Oceanside

Nearly 400 bodysurfers from around the world will converge in Oceanside for the 43rd Annual World Bodysurfing Championships. The contest will start around 6:30AM each morning and the winners will be crowned on Sunday afternoon.

Chula Vista Harbor Fest is family event that’s free to attend, bringing together tons of fun. Enjoy live music all day, Lucha Libre wrestling, a classic car expo, pet costume parade, art in the park, and water fun like kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and more. Plus check out the Discovery Zone filled with more kids activities from bungee jumping to rock climbing and giant hamster balls. Tickets are available for the Tacos & Spirits Revolution as well, which is a gourmet taco-tasting portion of the event where attendees vote for their favorites.

U.S. Sand Sculpture Challenge

Labor Day Weekend in San Diego is all about the sand sculptures. So much more than castles, these amazing pieces of art are displayed at the Broadway Pier and Pavilion all weekend long. You’ll see sculptors in action all day Saturday and Sunday until 2pm. Tickets are available for purchase online and winners are announced Monday, which is the best day to go if you only have one day to see all of the finished products!

Long Beach Jazz Festival

The Long Beach Jazz Festival is held in Rainbow Lagoon and features some of the top artists with a selection of food, art, and hot summer jazz. This is the 32nd Annual festival and this year’s theme is “A Healthy Taste of Jazz”. Stop by the Health & Wellness pavilion to hear from speakers and leaders and try healthy food samplings. The weekend is centered on enjoyment, feeling energized, de-stressed, and focused.

The LA Taco Festival brings all kinds of tacos to the masses in a fun, lively event that not only stimulates festivalgoers’ taste buds but their eyes and ears as well, with great live music and dance performances. The idea behind the taco festival came from the folks at a nonprofit, Jovenes, Inc., who are dedicated to solving the problem of youth homelessness in Boyle Heights. Go online to check out the music line-up and learn more. The event is free, open to the public, with donations accepted for Jovenes, Inc.

Held along the iconic Wilshire Boulevard, CicLAvia takes over the neighborhood and closes off its streets so Angelenos can walk, run, or ride bikes along the carless roads. If nothing else, bask in the glory of the only time you won’t see LA’s streets looking like a parking lot. CicLAvia’s goal is to inspire all of us to reimagine Los Angeles and connect participants to neighborhoods, businesses, healthy lifestyles, alternative transportation and each other in a way that is not possible by car.

Taste of Brews is Long Beach’s original and authentic craft beer festival at Lighthouse Park. The event infuses more than 100 styles of microbrews and hard ciders and SoCal’s best food trucks at an amazing oceanfront venue. The event is expected to sell-out online with limited tickets at the gate so don’t wait too long to purchase your ticket. Charity partners include Long Beach Marine Institute and Make-A-Wish.

Shakespeare in the Vines

On going through September, Shakespeare in the Vines during the month of August will be putting on Othello. Guest are encouraged to bring their own picnic meals to settle in for a magical night of Shakespeare under the stars and among the vines. Wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. September’s show will be Comedy of Errors.

Palm Springs VillageFest

Every Thursday

Taking place every Thursday evening from in downtown, this street fair features art, entertainment, crafts, shopping, and amazing food. Dogs and children are welcome to join the fun as well! The late night festival is the perfect opportunity to shop local and enjoy the local flair and flavor of the desert out of the sun.

Splash House is the ultimate pool party concert mash-up. Featuring the best in house, disco, and electronica, three different hotels sync up to create a seamless experience. The event also includes an After Hours party at the Palm Springs Air Museum with even more great music with a vintage aircraft backdrop.

Big Bear Lake Brew Festival

Saturday, August 24th

This will be the first annual Big Bear Lake Brew Festival. Bringing together 30-50 craft breweries from all over California, the event will have tons of fun activities as well like a rock wall, bounce house, mechanical bull, dunk tank and more. The first 3,000 attendees will get a free tasting glass as well! Confirmed breweries include Stone, Refuge, Pizza Port, Modern Times, and more.

Wildhorse Music Festival

If you’re a fan of country music, then the Wildhorse Music Festival is for you. Featuring live music, craft cocktails, craft beers, wine tasting and food, it’s a recipe for a damn good time. Held at Galway Downs, the setting itself is gorgeous with a grass amphitheater lined with streams, boulders, log bridges, and shady trees.
