Modjeska Canyon is an area on the eastern slope of the Santa Ana Mountains in eastern Orange County. It is a rural community of several hundred residents, with a small park and a volunteer fire station. While most of the canyon is surrounded by the Cleveland National Forest, the canyon is also the location of the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary. Modjeska Canyon is named after the Polish stage actress, Helena Modjeska, who settled in the canyon in the late 19th century. Her house, Arden, is a National Historical Landmark in Modjeska Canyon.
