First Team High Desert recently won the major categories in Real Estate in the Victorville Daily Press readers competition. Many local offices were nominated and 2 finalists and a single winner was voted by Daily Press readers. The Daily Press is the largest newspaper publication in the Victor Valley area. Out of thousands of votes, First Team WON Best Residential Real Estate Office AND Best Commercial Real Estate Office! In addition, other main categories WON were:
Best Residential Real Estate Agent- Gina Schene from our Victorville / SVL office AND Best Commercial Real Estate Agent-Bruce Kallen from the Hesperia / SVL office. If that wasn’t enough, First Team also WON the following categories: Best place to Work (medium company). Best Company Culture, Best Employee Recognition, and Most Innovative Place to Work. In addition to winning all of those categories, we had finalists sweep the Best Residential Agent category with Wendi Velasco & Kristi Hudson as both finalists and also Best Boss finalist went to broker/owner Bruce Kallen.
In 2020 First Team also won Best Real Estate Company for back to back wins in this main category. The Commercial division was also a finalist last year and Bruce Kallen has either won or been a finalist in the commercial agent category for the past 5 years straight!
When asked about the competition, broker Bruce Kallen stated ” it’s a very competitive space with regards to the voting since we have so many local real estate offices and agents. We’re very humbled and honored to be voted to the top of our profession in the local area and give credit and thanks to everyone who voted for us. All of the agents mobilized to get the word out that we made the cut on the nominations and worked very hard to engage past and current clients, family, friends, and co-workers to vote online for us”. In the Best Agent category, Bruce said ” Out of my offices which have MANY agents who could win the Best of the Best, I am so happy for Gina Schene who is one of the most dedicated and hardest working agents I’ve ever known. She is truly the Best of the Desert and deserving of the title for sure!” Bruce also commented he is really proud of all of the agents and said the “Best Company Culture” award was so fitting since they’ve worked really hard to establish themselves to be in a class of their own. “We’ve always been different from other offices, we have a great “vibe” and more collaboration and teamwork than other offices.
Starting with just 6 agents about 2 years ago in a cramped commercial office we’ve grown our High Desert presence to 2 large offices with over 75 agents and we’re STILL growing!
