Scott Cappelli and Jonathon Curci—two of the coastal area’s premier luxury real estate experts—recently closed the sale on the spacious home located at 2419 Santiago Drive in Newport Beach, which was listed for sale at $4.1 million.

Impressively, the sale marks the third real estate transaction the duo has facilitated for the selling client, having previously represented them in the sale of a Harbor Island home, and then in the subsequent purchase of the Santiago property. This loyalty aptly illustrates the caliber of service and results Cappelli and Curci deliver—but even more important are the contributions to two incredibly worthy causes it has fueled: For each and every transaction Cappelli and Curci close, they make a donation on the client’s behalf to Cancer for College and The Luevano Foundation.
It’s easy to understand why anyone would be passionate about contributing to an organization like Cancer for College—but for Cappelli, it’s a cause that hits particularly close to home.
Christopher Ley, Cancer for College 2017 Recipient
“After my brother, Frank, passed away from brain cancer in 2016, I created the FRANK THE TANK SCHOLARSHIP FUND with Cancer for College,” Cappelli explained. “Every year, we award a cancer survivor a $5,000 scholarship to Cal State Fullerton, Frank’s alma mater. Last year’s recipient, Christopher Ley, is a childhood leukemia survivor from Orange who decided to major in computer science. Especially considering the fact that we’ll be announcing this year’s recipient shortly, the sale of 2419 Santiago feels significant. Being able to honor Frank’s memory every day through my work—and to make an impact on an issue whose devastation reaches so many people—is incredibly fulfilling.”
To date, Cappelli has raised over $20,000 for the FRANK the TANK scholarship fund with Cancer for College. Additionally, he honors Frank’s memory by devoting time helping out in special education at Esperanza High School in Anaheim—it’s what Frank did for a living.
As for Curci, he discovered The Luevano Foundation—a scholarship fund for Catholic students—while attending college. He was invited by a professor to join its selection committee, and now sits on the Foundation’s Executive Board, having raised over $50,000 for the fund.
