Our FirstTeam Anaheim Hills Office is teaming up with the Red Cross to give back to the local community with a Blood Drive. Right now there’s been a decrease in donors so it’s more important than ever to show up and donate! There are more surgeries being scheduled now that it is safe to do so post-COVID and if local hospitals don’t have enough blood, surgeries get canceled. We’re putting our arms out to save others and we hope you’ll join. When you donate your blood in our Anaheim Hills Blood Drive you are giving the gift of time, hope, and love to others.
Ways To Give
- Whole Blood Donation: Whole blood is the most flexible type of donation, eligible for all blood types. The blood will be tested and once cleared can be sent out to a patient within 3-4 days.
- Power Red Donation: Eligible for O positive, O negative, A negative, and B negative blood types. Power Red is similar to a whole blood donation, except a special machine is used to allow you to safely donate two units of red blood cells during one donation while returning your plasma and platelets to you. When you do Power Red, it will be tested for quality and then can be sent out to a patient within 24 hours!
Remember to hydrate before you come and don’t drink anything caffeinated 2-3 hours prior to donating. The office will be hosting a second Blood Drive in September, so stay tuned for more information!
