One of only five gated cities in California, Canyon Lake began as a master-planned community developed by Corona Land Company in 1968. The lake was originally formed in 1927 after Railroad Canyon Dam was built, and now covers 383 acres with 14.9 miles of shoreline. This unique city curls around the lake’s shoreline and includes an 18-hole golf course, equestrian center, tennis courts, numerous parks and beaches, a campground and other amenities that cater to virtually any kind of activity that sun and water can provide.
