Why Dogs Love Huntington Beach Real Estate: Parks and Beaches

Our furry friends are a part of the family so it’s important to take them into consideration when it’s time to make a move. The first consideration to make if you have a dog is to think about relocating to a beach community. Beach cities are a great place for dogs because the weather is just a little cooler to accommodate their furry manes and the beach is a great place for your pup to run and play. Huntington Beach, CA is a great example of a beach community fit for dogs. The city has a designated dog beach, Dog Park and several other spacious parks perfect for playing with your pet. And strolling along the beach at sunset? Best walk ever.

Huntington Dog Beach

100 Goldenwest St F, Huntington Beach, CA 92648

The Huntington Dog Beach is great place for your dog to roam and play, offering abundant space for everyone to enjoy. Whether you feel like paying catch in the sand, rolling around in the waves or letting your pup socialize, there’s plenty of activities to choose from. Residents keep the beach clean and tidy and of course there are bags available if you need them.

There is beaching parking available by the meter (bring your quarters!) or you can try to snag some street parking nearby. Your dog will love the freedom they have to dig as much as they want in the sand and it’s easy to take a dip in the water for a quick rinse before you head home!

Huntington Beach Dog Park is another fun playground for your dog in the area if your dog is social and looking for playmates. This dog park is broken up into two pens, one for small dogs and other for big ones. Supported by donations, the dog park includes a meter that accepts coin donations as you enter and patrons can give $100 to have their dog’s paw print and name in the “Doggy Walk of Fame”. The Huntington Beach dog park is an off-leash park only and also features hand painted local art on the benches inside giving the park even more charm and a personal touch. This park is primarily wood chips and dirt so be prepared for some messy fun with your mutt!

Huntington Beach Central Park is the largest city-owned park in Orange County with a total of 350 acres of land. There are playgrounds, a Frisbee golf course, urban forest, and of course a dog park included in the grounds. This park has so much to offer, you’ll be coming back time and time again just to experience all the different facilities and activities. During the summer there are several events held in park like dog shows, equestrian events, car shows, and more. Not only will your dog love exploring this park, so will your kids! There are sport activities, a nature center, lakes adventure playground and more.
