From a dirt lot to a record sale, First Team agent Yvette Roberts nurtured her client, and his exceptional property, from start to finish
First Team agent Yvette Roberts closed on 16924 Crescent Creek Dr. in San Diego for $2,320,000 with her client in early November, the highest recorded sale for The Lakes Community[1]. But the story really begins back in 2013 when she originally helped her client purchase the home as a brand new lot. Chosen for its ideal location with sweeping golf course views, Yvette’s long-time client, and close friend, knew he’d found the perfect place to build something special.
The Transformation
“At the time he originally purchased the lot, I’d been working with this particular investor for just a few years. Now we’ve been collaborating for almost 10 years!” explains Yvette. “It was a dirt lot back in 2013 when he first acquired the home with the builder’s plan framing just going up. It was a beautiful blank slate.”
Not only was Yvette a part of the purchase and eventual sale of 16924 Crescent Creek Dr., but she also helped play the role of the designer as well. “This is the largest exterior collaboration project I’ve had the privilege of being a part of. I helped design the yard, pick out materials, and more,” explains Yvette.
The transformation was spectacular. 3 years and over $600,000 were poured into making this property to create an absolute masterpiece with unrivaled California living outdoor spaces.
Built around an interior courtyard, the center of the home features glass-paneled French doors leading out, as well as a full wall of folding glass doors, which opens to the private backyard oasis.
“The interior Zen courtyard was most important to me as the heart of the home. I wanted to make this a truly relaxing space, where the homeowner could come home and be enveloped in calm,” says Yvette. From the teak deck and unique water feature to the stone pathway across the sand, the beauty of the Zen courtyard is undeniable and a surprise that greets you as soon as you walk in the door.
Featuring stunning views golf course views, mountains, and surrounding natural landscape, the resort-style pool, sunken outdoor dining area, and fireplace is the cherry on top of a perfect location. The grounds are complete with a private casita with its own garden and outdoor kitchen.
Client Comes First
When it came time to sell this impressive masterpiece, it wasn’t a quick turnaround that was most important; it was all about finding the right buyer – and the right price – for this spectacular estate. “We were on the market for 6 months, but it was well worth it,” says Yvette. “This lot was chosen for its outstanding location and for my client, I was willing to wait for a sales price that represented it and all of the hard work he’d invested into the property.”
While not the largest home based on the price per square foot, with a savvy selling strategy and commitment to her client’s needs, Yvette successfully closed 16924 Crescent Creek Dr. with a record sale price of $2,320,000. “When I sell a home, it’s all about helping my clients reach their goals. The highest sales price was the goal, so that’s what we got.”
